Sources and license

The records come from the ASIC Company Dataset on data.gov.au (https://data.gov.au/data/dataset/asic-companies), a weekly snapshot under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Australia. Only rows whose date of registration falls inside the downloaded window are kept, at most the last 90 days. A weekly run keeps the last seven days. Street addresses and director names are not taken from this file and are not shown.

State, postcode, GST status and business names are matched from the ABN Bulk Extract on data.gov.au (https://data.gov.au/data/dataset/abn-bulk-extract), also CC BY 3.0 AU, when the company row includes an ABN. The ABN Lookup web service is not used until an ABR agreement is in place. This site is an independent directory. It is not ASIC, not the ABR, and it does not issue certificates.
